No commentsSeptember GDT – Marisa
Marisa was our GDT for September and she has done a super job with our Party Princess kit. Here Marisa has created 3 beautiful LO’s

‘Gosh what is not to like about this kit, the patterned papers were fantastic, I especially love the Fancy Pants ‘Kraft Kuts’ so my style of paper. Also the Pink Paislee alpha letters, so bright and I so loved the script style. I am a huge flower fan so the large Green Tara flower was perfect, and what girl doesn’t love some bling, so love the brads in the kit. And how sweet are the Sassafras Lass stamps, I just love them. I must say I was very surprised that I got 3 layouts out of this kit and I still have some left over, either enough for another layout or a couple of cards. Overall I thought the kit was fantastic.’
Thanks Marisa, and we look forward to seeing what our next GDT does

4 commentsStep by step Project ‘Family’
Cut your circle PP in half.
Then not quite half again…you’ll need a segment of the circle that is a little longer than a ¼.
Cut about 1cm from the top and one side of your base PP. Distress the edges of this piece using a distress tool (or my personal fave distressing tool…my fingernail LOL) Ink the edges…LOTS! Stitch a few times around the border of the base PP with your sewing machine. Apply DS tape to the wrong side of the PP securing the stitching, then use your cutting knife to unpick the stitches, making your stitching look aged, worn and very very shabby!

Adhere your segment of circle to the top left hand side of your base PP.
Mount your photo onto CS.
Cut a strip of co – ordinating PP 24cm x 10cm – ink the edges. I wanted a particular section of PP – the Piece of ‘Botanique’ section from the Flutterby PP as this had the most ‘pink’. I cut the rectangle out with this in mind. Stick the rectangle down onto your base PP.

Adhere your mounted photo
Using Krissy’s ‘Homemade Vines tutorial’ found here, create a regular sized and also a slightly smaller vine.
Adhere this to your page – the larger vine on the bottom of your photo, the smaller on the top of your photo.
Arrange the flowers and leaves so that they balance and look pretty
Using the gorgeous Basic Grey chocolate chipboard alphas, apply your title to the top right hand of the photo. I inked and sanded and generally ‘shabbied’ the alphas a little before sticking them down.
Cut journaling strips from some co – ordinating scraps of PP and apply these to the bottom of your photo.

Step by step…
You will need….
Your Wicked Princess Vintage kit (from the kit we will be using the circle PP, 2x PP and a sheet of CS)
2x paper bag vines from Krissy’s tutorial
A few little paper flowers
Some leaves (or green PP to cut leaves from)
One 5×7 photo
I’ll be back with the instructions shortly!
